By car
Arriving from the motorway A4 Milano-Trieste, exit at the toll-gate of Villabona (Venice-Mestre) and follow the road indications for Venezia Citta- Porto Turistico (Venice City-Touristical port). Take the Ponte della Liberta (Bridge of Liberty) and keep following the indications for Venice which will take you to Piazzale Roma (Rome square).There, you will have to park the car and then take a boat.
The choices for the car park are the following:

From the airport
The historical center can be reach in the following ways:
· Street taxis: in 15 minutes you will arrive at Piazzale Roma (Rome square). The price will be around EUR 30. (Radio taxi tel +39 041 93 6222). The taxis leave from just outside the arrival lounge.
· Water taxi: in about 30 minutes you will reach the historical center. The price is about EUR 60.
· Buses ATVO: link directly the airport to Piazzale Roma (Rome Square) in approximately 20 minutes with departure every half hour. The service starts from 8h50 (8h30 on bank holidays and week end) to 23h40. The cost of the ticket is EUR 2,60 and includes the transport of the luggage. The departure of the bus is on the right just after the arrival lounge.
Note: The buses ATVO are blue.
· Buses ACTV: are line buses (line 5) and therefore stop at different bus stops before arriving at Piazzale Roma. It will take you 30 minutes. The ticket costs EUR 0,77 but doesn’t include the transport of the luggage. The cost for each suitcase is the cost of the ticket (EUR 0,77). The departure of the buses is right on the right outside the arrival lounge.
Note: the Buses ACTV are orange.
· Motor boat ACTV: The red line Alilaguna stops at Murano (30 minutes), Lido (55 minutes), Arsenale (1h05), San Marco (1h10) and Zattere (1h20).
The blue line Alilaguna stops at Fondamente Nuove (30 minutes) and at San Marco (58 minutes).
Both lines have departures every hour.
The dock can be reach with a bus from the new airport.
The service is very convenient for who needs to go directly at the Lido o in the area of San Marco.
From the Train Station
The only train station of Venice is Santa Lucia. It is linked with the rest of Italy with the trains Eurostar, Intercity and Espresso. Apart from those, from March to November, the Orient Express, the luxurious train which crosses Europe, stops there.
Coming out, you will arrive directly in front of the “Canal Grande”. On the other side of “Canal Grande”, you will see straight away the green dome of the church of “San Simeon Piccolo”. Next to the station square, you will find the Church “degli Scalzi”.
Then you have the public transport: steamer and motor boat of the ACTV.
